Watched three films over the weekend and it worked really well!
Simply because the PS3 is much closer to PC data sharing abilities with it's ability to run Linux. You'll get good linux DVD BR drivers because of this. This will eventually drive the PC to BR disks.
The HD-DVD format will unfortunately die.
